MGARIU Hosts Insightful Oncology Lecture for United Faculty Students

On March 14, 2025, the United Faculty students of Mkhitar Gosh Armenian-Russian International University (MGARIU) in Yerevan attended an enlightening lecture on contemporary issues in oncology. The session was delivered by Irina Vladimirovna Evstigneeva, a leading oncologist and Deputy Chief of the V.P. Avaev Medical Center, Tver, Russia.

The lecture was graced by the presence of senior university officials, including Rector Alexander Gennadievich Ivanov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yana Nikolaevna Troynich, Head of the Educational Department Lilit Genrikhovna Potikyan, Methodologist of the Educational Department Ruzanna Sergeevna Akhayan, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Naira Ashotovna Kazaryan.

Irina Vladimirovna's presentation provided an in-depth overview of the prevalence and structure of oncological diseases, not just in Russia and Armenia, but across the world. She emphasized the crucial role of early cancer detection, the significance of regular screening, and the responsibility doctors hold in preventive care. Through the demonstration of real clinical cases from her professional experience, she offered students valuable practical insights into the world of oncology.
